Today while shopping for a few things at the local grocery store I encountered a man holding two pies TWO PIES! Like he owned the place or something he was prancing around with them just stacked on stop of each other IN PLAIN SIGHT OF EVERYONE! Bastard. Who does that? Who has the gall to be so greedy…so damn sure that he is within his right to enjoy twice the amount of flaky crust pleasure as a NORMAL person? He’s double dipping! For all I know he’s in front of the TV eating and having as we speak! I’m sure he must have had a party to go to and needed two…but maybe not . Maybe he just said SCREW ALL OF YOU, I’M BUYING TWO FREAKIN’ PIES! I wondered why this seemed so wrong and well, so brash and righteous and though that perhaps my view of life in the food chain was off balance somehow and that perhaps I needed to feel worthy of the double stacked pleasures in life. I decided at that moment that I had been letting myself down and that I also was deserving of more than I was allowing myself to get out of this life. So I guess this is all about taking chances and not being afraid of boldly making yourself as happy as possible…even if it means turning a few heads in the Entenmann’s Isle. |
